Internationally-renowned interior and lifestyle photographer, Simon Upton, opens the Bigger Picture Gallery’s Summer Exhibition on Saturday 3 June with a mixed show.

With images published in magazines and books the world over, this unique exhibition reveals a side to Upton’s personal work that reflects his passion for the English countryside – its houses, landscapes and its wildlife.

Upton’s interest in birds can be traced back to his early childhood and a family obsession with falconry, that enabled him to come into regular contact with a variety of these beautiful creatures.

With some images shot on a 10”x8” plate camera, Upton’s proximity to the birds, whether at rest or in flight, allows us to admire the natural power and grace of these trained birds of prey, as well as the intricacy of their individual markings.
